Willy Wonka. Willy Wonka. Please stop this annoying song.

Last night we took the kids to see 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' at Studio Movie Grill. The show got mixed reactions. The movie starts out fairly dark with intense music, and it terrified Matthew. He buried his head in his daddy's shoulder. Scott told him the scary part was now over, and he looked up and it started back in. He got MAD at his dad and came running over to bury his face in my shoulder. He spent the rest of the movie in my lap, but at least he watched the movie. Michael spent most of the movie on the edge of his seat, and he laughed a few times. Scott and I, surprisingly, laughed out loud several times. We didn't expect it to be as good as it was. Matthew is the lone holdout, saying he really didn't like that show!

This morning I got up and went to run some errands. I had a large area rug in our living room (the family room, not the formal) that is the same color as our rug. I put the there last year because there were too many stains on our cream colored carpet that wouldn't come up. Well, yesterday, Michael spilled an entire coke (mine) onto the rug and ruined it. Wouldn't come out without a large brown stain. First place I went this morning was Garden Ridge and I found a GREAT room-sized oriental rug on sale. It is a light cream base, with brown (the color of our couch and the wood in the room), green (umm, we have a ficus?), and maroon/rust (our accent color for pillows, candles, throws, etc.). Scott, who NEVER reacts, came down and saw it in the room and said it looked great! I also picked up some booster seats for the boys when they ride in my mom's car, some groceries, a couple of floats for the kids in the pool, a test kit for the pool water, and other odds and ends.

I tried swimming with the boys after I got back, but they are in some seriously annoying mood today. They are fighting/wrestling, throwing things, yelling, ignoring me, spilling things and being a general pain in the butt. My patience with them has been so short because I had reached my breaking point. Thankfully, bedtime is only 30 minutes away. I'm glad these days are few and far between. I'm funnelling my anger and frustration into chores - doing lots of laundry, dishes, general cleaning up.
