Pieces of April

OMG. I didn't think this would be so funny, and I know it's not supposed to be, but there have been two scenes in the movie 'Pieces of April' that have made me laugh out loud.

The first is when the family is in the car eating Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and the mother asks 'How can anyone not believe in God?'. I feel that way when I eat one.

The second is April trying to make mashed potatoes. She's never made them and doesn't know how to do it. You see her cutting up the potatoes, then she has the masher and can't quite get it through the potatoes. STILL RAW! Didn't know to cook them! I'm not sure why I found this so damn funny, but it was.

On my more 'real' side, the launches last night went great. We had a couple of hiccups, but they were easily solved. We got all of our web sites out with the new branding!!! If you want to see the branding on the public sites, you can go to http://www.sun.com. That's not one of mine, although I do have some content areas on it, but my sites are all password-protected for partners, so no way to show them. :) I'm so relieved it all went good!!!

Now on to the next big launch! It never ends. I guess that's why they call it 'work'

when my brain saw [Pieces of April] it miscontructulated it to read [Pisces of April] and I wondered why Trish-Bob suddenly lapsed into horoscopy.

... then my eyeballs took over and I saw the real words. Hmm. Must be the aftereffects of Paula being in town last week. She lives in Phoenix, ya know, so is a prime candidate for watching your grajification at the end of July. You don't mind if she invites 50 or 60 imperfect strangers to cheer at ya, right?

If didn't realize she was in Phoenix? Do you know how much it would mean to me even to have perfect strangers there? :)
