Come on down!

We have entered the 'busy' part of our year. Birthdays one right after the other, and celebrations out the wazoo. The first celebration starts this Friday. Scott has asked me to take the day off from work and he has some surprise planned. I have NO clue what it is - even though he's been telling me we're going to McKinney to go antiquing. *laugh* I'll be turning the ripe old age of 35 (No comments from the peanut gallery genebob!). We have to take the boys to Toys-4-Us (That's what Michael calls it) for a neighbor's birthday the next day. Then on Wednesday of next week, the 13th, Michael and Matthew turn 4. I have to bake for their class to celebrate. Then Saturday the 16th is their party. The first 'real' celebration, as defined by people not related to us in attendance. We're just doing a small thing with a few others who have kids.

Then we get a break. For a few weeks.

We have planned our annual mega-crawfish boil for May 21. For those unlucky enough to live in other locations, each year Scott cooks hundreds of pounds of crawfish, along with all of the fixins, in the backyard. Some years we have a bounce house for the kids, which we'll try to do again this year. The average attendance is 30-50 people, and this year Scott is going to try to get some traditional Louisiana sponsorships. The event runs late into the night, with many many many drinks had by all. Umm, did I mention the alcohol? Yeah. Goes great with mudbugs.

The next weekend, Michael and Matthew's 'extended' brothers, Erick and Brian will be baptized, and have a joint birthday party. Erika, their mother, was MnM's nanny for the first two years, and is part of our family. We wouldn't miss this for ANYTHING!!!

Then it's on to Huntsville June 3-6. This is when I unwind, see the people I only get to see once a year or so, and kill off quite a few more brain cells. Not at the rate I used to, but I seem to have age helping me along.

Laissez les bons temps rouler!!!!! We done gonna have us a Fais Do-Do!
