Life is good

I'm so in love with my husband - even after 13 years. When I came home from
Huntsville, I was expecting the house to still be standing and to have two
living children. It's what I usually get when I come home. Usually, I come
through the door and head right for a mop. You stick to the floor.

This time, I didn't have to do that. Not only was the house still standing
and I still had two kids, but Scott had taken out the trash, emptied the diaper
genie!!!, cleaned all of the toilets, did a load of the kids' laundry (well,
he also washed some legos, but no harm done. They probably needed it.), and
even bathed one of the kids. Yes, just one. *laugh*

I should go give him hot loving, but that would require getting my lazy ass
off the couch. Maybe later. I'll pull out the berry flavored 'Dust me Pink'
powder. RAWR!!!

On another front, we had lots of drama around the house tonight. Michael and
Matthew were wrestling (for those of you reading this from Huntsville, I'll use
my Momma's term. They were rasslin') which is a normal state for them when they
get wound up just before bedtime. Suddenly, Michael starts SCREAMING. He had 4
or 5 wet marks on the back of his shirt. When I took his shirt off, he had
two large bite marks. One of them broke through the skin quite bad. We put
Matthew in time out, and then sent him to bed a half hour early. I put neosporin
plus pain relief on Michael's back, put a Boo Bear (kid's ice pack) on him
and snuggled him on the couch. He got to call his Grandma and tell her 'Brother
bit me! On my back. He's bad. His teeth are sharp'. :)

nice hubby!

Now, if he did that all of the time...sure :)

He's a nice husband outside of that, but I just
get surprised when he takes that kind of initiative
on his own.

Sometimes our men can surprise us. Isn't it nice.

Willem got bitten the other day at school. He had a pretty bite mark on his arm. Apparently he was rasslin' over a toy.

Kids are tough. Willem's head should be flat for all the time he has purposefully head butted things. it's all that Scottish blood coming out.

Well, Matthew's problem is his 'Howard' blood
coming out *laugh* The Howard men are REALLY
stubborn. We always knew he was a bit obstinate,
he's just now starting to really show it.

How is Dave's job search going, btw? Any luck?

Still searching. He is going to lunch with a recruiter on Monday. Mayeb that will help.

He has had one interview, but they had the nerve to hire someone more qualified!

How dare they! :) At least they told him they hired someone
else. Scott seems to have these really positive interviews
and then you never hear from the company again. There's always
that possibility for the three month contract in D.C., but
until he's actually IN D.C., I'm keeping my hope towards a
local job :)

Hey - there's still the chance that I'll be in Austin
the week of May 24th. I'll let you know when I know more.

Well, I am crossing my fingers Scott finds soemthing closer to home.

Let me know about Austin, I really would like to get together.
