American Idol

Look, you guys all know that I am an absolute Beatles FREAK. The Lennon/McCartney songbook is sacred to me. American Idol is KILLING me right now.

Yes, there were two or three performances that I thought were pretty good. There were way more than three I would have put in the bottom three :) I can't believe they are going to do it again next week.

I thought Chikezie was pretty damn good. Best of the bunch, even though he isn't my favorite. Worst based on the slaughter of MY idols was Christy Lee Cook with the country twang 'Eight Days a Week'.

I know these people deserve one more time in the spotlight, especially for coming as far as they did. Let the person who is leaving sing one last time.

Do we have to hear the THREE worst songs from the show sung again?????

Bite me, Dawg. I'm just not feeling it.

When Christy Lee started that ho-down version, my husband and I looked at each other and yelled NO WAY!!!!! WTF was that??? Insane & I can't believe she didn't go.

Oh but as you said, she gets another chance to butcher the Beatles next week, so there's hope I guess. ;)

Not to sound like Randy, Paula, or Simon, but I thought that most of them sucked at song choice anyway. C'mon guys, you have the ENTIRE Lennon/Mccartney songbook to choose from!!!!

I agreed with standbackstevie, there was no excuse for some of those song choices. The country version of 8 Days a Week may have caused me to have a mini seizure.

I like to imagine the career some of these people would have if they won. That little David guy is good and all, but what kind of career are they envisioning for him? Also, I really like Amanda Obermeyer but come on, I'm not seeing her singing anywhere besides one of those bars where they have chain link up to protect the band. Or maybe a documentary about Woodstock. A lot of the people this time seem like the poor man's version of another famous singer.

Why yes, I am rather snarky today.
