New cast

Here is the new cast:

What you don't know is that my little toe isn't painted because it can't be reached inside the cast. *laugh*. Well, you know NOW!

Geaux Saints!!!!!!

I don't know how well you can read the small ribbon at the top, but it's a tan and black check, with red writing all around it that says 'I think I can...'.

Hm. Now I'm gonna have a cast on my arm. Ideas about decoration?

What color cast? You could do a Star of David. Maybe even some stylized ASL. OOOHHH! A nice writing stylus/pen with some squiggles coming out of it since you're a writer? I could design that one out in no time. Putting the gems on is a breeze.

I am either getting a regular old plain white cast, or blue. I hope for the blue, as regular plaster is just way too heavy for me. I am not sure how big it will be (I'll have shoulder and elbow surgery), but I do hope for the blue. I have some jewelry glue and gems, I am just not good with the design part!

Metallic gold and silver are timelessly classic on blue.

I have some metallic Sharpie markers you could use, but I think we're on different continents.

Yes, we are. :-( Also because of hand dexterity issues everything that goes on my cast has to be drawn/laid out/glued by someone else, and luckily Mr. Someone Else has some laque markers. :-)

And could you really design a stylus?

I am going dark blue tomorrow!

Very nice and stylish. I love the fleur de lis. If you've got to have a cast, you might as well have a pretty one, right?

*waves* hello from one of the 23's ;)

There really is no escape. At all. WE're taking over the world, one journal at a time.

As the fashionable say... "Verra, verra stylish!" Love the cast and the panted toenails are just the perfect accent to a black leg cast. Hope you're feeling as chipper as I think you are seeing that you're having a fair bit of fun with your cast.

Not too many more weeks?

Hopefully, just three more weeks of the cast. I'm sure it will be nice to have it off. This is my first broken bone, first cast. For the five minutes I got to move my leg around and CLEAN it, it felt WONDERFUL! My foot was also the softest it has been since I was born, I'm sure. *laugh*

When I read that you got to take it off, even if just for a few minutes, I was so envious. Not being able to itch or scratch is the worst part of having a cast.
