Finished (for now)

Until I figure out something else I just NEED to do with the cast, I'm finished.

I didn't want to do all pink stones on the ribbon, so I just put lots of colors in the design.

Tres cool, looking better and better, a genuine fashion statement now that you've finished decorating it. Hopefully this will make wearing the cast more bearable.

I just hope it opens up dialogue with others while I'm out. Since it isn't obviously one color, if someone asks if gives a chance to talk about not only breast cancer awareness, but APS and other clotting/auto-immune disorders. The red stripe can let them know no matter what life throws your way, you can be active and powerful.

What colour(s) stand(s) for autoimmune disorders?

I need to find something for AIHA.

I don't know if there is an overall autoimmune one, but for the blood/clotting disorders (APS, factor v, thrombophilia in general), it's a burgandy. Lupus and similar autoimmune disorder is purple. MS is grey. Stoke/Heart is red, but so is AIDS/HIV. Teal, I believe, is ovarian cancer. Lime green - lymphoma. Orange - leukemia. Yellow - support our troops. Light blue - thyroid. Patchwork puzzle of all colors - autism.

Everything has it's own damn ribbon :) Try going to cafepress.com and searching for autoimmune

Too much work. It's easier to just get cured of the autoimmune hemolytic anemia.

Fighting Through Adversity
You're certainly a good example of someone who has fought through adversity to achieve superb results. Not many would have the courage to take up a martial art as a physical activity when in full health let alone after the medical condition(s) that you have. You rock, (not the gem stones either), hope your healing goes fast and you find yourself in the ring again soon.

Yeah, and I really wanted to come to the yarn swap on Friday (Lord knows the back half of my closet needs cleaned out of yarn I may never use) but instead I sat on the couched drugged out on pain killers. Wheee.

Glad you guys had a successful swap.

You, my friend, are INSANE!!!!

And I love you all the more for it.

You know you're going to have to keep this thing. No matter how smelly and nasty it gets, you are going to have to keep it and put it in some sort of a trophy case for all eternity. If you don't, I will!

Yeah, I'll have to ask them if they can cut it off some way I can keep it.
