Bling that thing!

Yes, I got in trouble for rebreaking my foot, and to keep me from thinking I'm well before I am they put me in a cast. My first thought OF COURSE was that if I was going to have this thing on 24/7 for a month or more, then I was going to make it MINE.

Must. Make. It. Mine!

In the next day or so, if the test stones stay on overnight, the entire ribbon will be done in pink stones, with a red stripe. The red stripe is in honor of the red stripe I learned last night in TKD, with a broken foot *laugh*

I had all this stuff sitting around for when I got a chance to make over a pair of jeans. Now I just wonder when my foot will stop feeling like it's asleep. I've never broken a bone before this one, so I've never had to deal with a lengthy immobilization.

At least it will look good *laugh*

Two rules of thumb:

1. Don't go swimming in the ocean with it on, then pour sand in it to scratch the itch and follow up with a coat hanger. (This from a post in the original "Things I Learn From My Patients" thread at studentdoctor.net.)

2. Don't cut it off yourself. (My brother did that. Twice. Yes, we still tease him about it.)

Cutest orthopaedic device EVER. ;)

OK, so I can see a whole cast fashion industry growing out of it.

There you go. I should partner with the rehabilitation facilities and ortho docs around town for 'custom casts' *laugh*

When Paris Hilton breaks her pencil legs and limps out with a diamond encrusted fur-covered cast, I'll know I made an impact!

If Paris Hilton does that, just make sure you make a commission on it too. :)

That looks great!!!

You'll revolutionize the (rehabilitation) industry. Casts for broken extremities, already available in a variety of colours will now have the added option of being statements for all sort of good works such as your pink ribbon! On a personal level, I think that you've already done a great thing for fashion. the leopard print at the toes and top are a great accent.

Congratulations on your TKD achievement too, you (will be able to better once the cast is off) kick butt!

THAT'S AWESOME!!! Yeah, you go and make it all fancy, girrrrl.

And here I thought my candy cane cast & your bling-i-fied dancing boot were special!

I agree that you could start an entire cast-decorating revolution!!
