Mommy, what's a sinner?

The preschool sent home sheet music for us to practice a song with our kids for the Christmas special. I think they might be reaching here. I laughed out loud when I saw they were trying to get a bunch of three year olds to sing 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing'. Matthew asked me what a sinner is (God and sinners reconcile). We'll see how THAT one goes. I'll have to video tape and post some of it.

I got a little bit of Christmas shopping done today. I finally decided to buy a Leappad for the boys, along with a couple of books. I only got one because of the cost, but they do pretty good sharing things like that. If it gets too bad, I'll get a second for their birthday in April. I bought presents for the boys' old nanny and her kids. We're still trying to work on our Spanish, but they've pretty much lost it since they aren't hearing it 8 hours a day anymore. Our most recent is 'licuados', which is like a smoothie. We've been blending them up for a couple of nights and really having a blast doing it as a 'team'.

If things go right, Scott will be back home late tonight. I really do miss him. This single mom thing is FOR THE BIRDS!!!

OH!!!! We got the results back today from the PH Probe Matthew had earlier this week. Turns out he had several prolonged episodes while he was sleeping, and the Peds GI guy wants him to start seeing him. Just what Matthew needs - another doctor. Anyway, we're supposed to go back to Prevacid twice a day for him and we'll see what this guy wants to do. They say he has GERD (gastroesophogeal reflux disease). I also talked to the immunologist, and the bloodwork shows Matthew is slightly anemic and his sedimentary rate shows signs of inflamation. His immune system is weak, but not too bad, so there is hope that we can supplement to make him stronger. That's REALLY good news. We'll check back in a couple of weeks to see if he developed the pnuemococcal antibodies from the PPV shot they gave him.

I'm off to have a couple of bar-b-que lean pockets and finish mi licuados :)

may i suggest some malformed lyrics?
why not have some fun with this, and teach them South Park versions of the Christmas songs? South Park: Chef Aid, Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics Soundtrack Lyrics

Then again, you could add some Southern to your younguns' upbringin with this oldie:

... about the Ohio man traveling through the South over the Christmas holidays. One day he found himself in a little town in Alabama; as he was driving through the town square, he saw on the courthouse lawn an elaborate Nativity scene, obviously erected with enormous care and at great expense.

Then he noticed something odd about this Nativity scene. All of the expected characters were in place; but the three wise men were all wearing fire fighters’ hats!

Badly needing an explanation for this aberration, he stopped in the nearest store and asked the elderly woman behind the counter why the wise men were wearing firefighters’ hats. "Just like a Yankee not to know his scripture!" she declared as she whipped out a well worn Bible from under the counter.

Turning to a Gospel passage, she pointed to it and said, "See there? It says right here in black and white: ‘The wise men came from a far!"
Me, I'm off to CD World to get a copy of that South Park CD, `afore they're all sold out.
