I got a little bit of Christmas shopping done today. I finally decided to buy a Leappad for the boys, along with a couple of books. I only got one because of the cost, but they do pretty good sharing things like that. If it gets too bad, I'll get a second for their birthday in April. I bought presents for the boys' old nanny and her kids. We're still trying to work on our Spanish, but they've pretty much lost it since they aren't hearing it 8 hours a day anymore. Our most recent is 'licuados', which is like a smoothie. We've been blending them up for a couple of nights and really having a blast doing it as a 'team'.
If things go right, Scott will be back home late tonight. I really do miss him. This single mom thing is FOR THE BIRDS!!!
OH!!!! We got the results back today from the PH Probe Matthew had earlier this week. Turns out he had several prolonged episodes while he was sleeping, and the Peds GI guy wants him to start seeing him. Just what Matthew needs - another doctor. Anyway, we're supposed to go back to Prevacid twice a day for him and we'll see what this guy wants to do. They say he has GERD (gastroesophogeal reflux disease). I also talked to the immunologist, and the bloodwork shows Matthew is slightly anemic and his sedimentary rate shows signs of inflamation. His immune system is weak, but not too bad, so there is hope that we can supplement to make him stronger. That's REALLY good news. We'll check back in a couple of weeks to see if he developed the pnuemococcal antibodies from the PPV shot they gave him.
I'm off to have a couple of bar-b-que lean pockets and finish mi licuados :)
