For MissKerri

misskerri - here is a pic of the soaker

I'm going to try to wash it and see if it holds up. Wouldn't do you much good if it didn't. :)

Wool soaker. I was one of those evil disposible diaper people, so I'm not so familiar with them, but it's something you put over a cloth diaper. I had a pattern, some wool yarn, and since misskerri is about to have a little girl, I asked if she would be cloth diapering and would be my test subject :)

Basically, I've run out of things to knit or crochet myself. :)

Wool is a very absorbant, water-tight textile, and it's naturally anti-bacterial, as well. So it is a popular choice for breathable all natural diaper covers. You put it over a fitted diaper or a prefold, and, when properly lanolized, it will absorb wetness from the diaper without letting it seep through to the outside, so clothes and sheets, etc stay dry.
