A little perspective

May I start by saying that a 155 pound Great Dane is NOT a lap dog?????? Could someone please tell our guest dogs that? :) We currently have our three dogs - 15 pound Cairn Terrier, 13 pound Sheltie and 6 pound cute-as-a-button mutt - along with two overnight guest dogs, Gracie and Daisy.

Daisy is a 105 pound black and white spotted Great Dane. Gracie is a 155 pound grey and white GD. Gracie seems to think she is a lap dog, and will BACK up into your lap. She puts her full weight down, but her front end is still standing up. I actually had to move Shasta quickly once because I saw Gracie backing towards my chair and I was afraid she would sit on him *laugh*

BTW - got my car last night and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is Gracie. Notice she is way taller than our fireplace:

This is Daisy. That is my couch coming up to just below her eye level. She's the 'short one':

I call this one 'Food Chain'. Gracie watches Shasta chewing on a stick:

This one....'Appetizer'. Gracie's paw is about the size of Shasta's head:

I couldn't get a picture of Michael and Matthew with BOTH guest dogs, but I did get one with Gracie 'sitting' on the couch with them:

OMFG How cute!

We had a 115 pound Giant Schnauzer when I was a teenager, I really miss him. He, too, thought he was a lap dog. If you sat on the floor, you were free game.
