*SQUEEEE*

That's right! You heard me. I so very rarely squeal, but you just heard it.

Today, Scott and I, sans kids (who are at Gamma's), went to Oktoberfest in Addison, TX.

Guess what we ended up doing?

Meet Mr. Pibb (the second):

His name was originally Biscuit, but...well, we didn't like that one so much and he didn't answer to it anyway. He seems like he wasn't taken very good care of, he's really skinny, and he has heartworms (and a tick I found). However, he has free vet care for now, including his heartworm treatment (that he has already started) and he is THE SWEETEST DOG! He's almost exactly a year old, born September 19, 2006. The SPCA rescued him the day before he was to be euthanized, and we are glad they did. We fell in love with the little guy. There wasn't much talking involved in whether or not we were bringing him home. He's such a lover-boy, some sort of terrier mix and walks really well on a leash. I can't believe how lucky we were to find him.

More of Pibb:

I'm off to snuggle our new puppy. :)

You're so cool. I love that you two were of the same mind about such a cute dog and that you can easily enough take care of another dog, even one who has some problems and hasn't been treated well, that the decision requires so little discussion. I picture you raising your eyebrows in inquiry (perhaps with a hand gesture of 'what can I do? it's not my fault he's so cute') and your dh nodding quickly... :)

And I especially love that he's wearing a collar to match his eyeliner. Even your dog is thin and fabulous!

Heh. He does look like he has blue eyeliner one! :)

The most discussion that took place was what to change his name to. *laugh* Oh, and confirmation that I would pick up poop and clean up pee if he wasn't as housebroken as they said he was.

I knew I had Scott when we were sitting out with the dog and he picked him up and held him for a while. I think he has a soft spot for terriers ;)

Speaking of my husband, I'm off to crawl back into bed with him for the few more hours we don't have kids in the house.
