Breathe easy

The Nyquil helped ease my chest congestion, but it knocked me our for over an hour. I've slept SO MUCH in the last 24 hours.

It's a stormy and gloomy day, so I guess it's a good time to be sick. I just want it gone by tomorrow so that work and physical therapy go smoothly.

Still, I am somewhat excited to see that we really are near the end of my breast reconstruction. By the end of the year, it will be a distant memory. Just a tad more expansion, and then at the end of November we will do the final surgery to replace the expander with an implant and do some shaping. Throughout this whole process, I have taken pictures and had my reconstructive surgeon's photographer print out the pictures they have taken. I've finally dug out all of my scrapbooking supplies so that I can start putting them all into a 'memory book' showing the transition. It's been a long road, but not having the sword of breast or ovarian cancer hanging over my head.

Physically, I feel sick. Mentally, I'm in a pretty good place :)
