Less than eight hours and counting

In less than eight hours, I'll be at the hospital. I'll be offline for a while, but Scott should be bringing my laptop up later in the day. Might not be on until the next day, however.

I will have my cell phone, for those that know it, and I'll be at Zale Lipshy in downtown Dallas.

I'm nervous as hell, but I did a little retail therapy with jillions tonight...err, most of the day. I didn't have a lot of luck. I practically tried to THROW money at Nordstom's and they wouldn't take it. Four pair of shoes I wanted and they didn't have any of them in my size. Three shoe stores we went in didn't have the shoes I wanted. There weren't clothes I really wanted. I ended up with socks from Jill for my birthday (NAP socks from Brookstone. yummy.), an egg clock (don't ask), and enough 'food extras' to last a lifetime. Three kinds of mustard, four kinds of fruit butter (apple, pumpkin, pear and something else that slips my mind), LOTS of hot sauce, chocolate covered apple and pear, flavored 'shakes' for waffles and pancakes to use in place of syrup, coffee flavorings, Dr. Pepper jerky, things along those lines. Oh yeah, and a little teeny speaker for the top of my iPod.

Ok, I need to get some sleep and maybe take an Ambien so I don't spend all night obsessing over the surgery.

Send your prayers my way and keep me in your thoughts tomorrow.

I won't be able to get you off my mind until I hear that everything is okay. We both know it will be, but I'm still going to sit here obsessing until you're back online.

Fingers, toes, eyes and brains crossed.

Well, no doubt you're already at the hospital by now, but I'm thinking about you. Take it easy on yourself and heal quickly. ;)

Dr. Pepper jerky. explain?

It's beef jerky that is seasoned by marinating in the Dublin Dr.Pepper. I haven't tasted it yet.
