Wow. Just wow.

I'm waiting for my 'Wife of the Year' award.

Scott is away on business. The Burning Crusade expansion pack for World of Warcraft arrived today.

See the problem? I was coached well prior to Scott's departure. The game arrived this afternoon. Once I got the boys to bed, I spent TWO HOURS installing the game, getting two patches, waiting in the damn queue (600th in line???) and logging in each of his characters. There is some point to this. I'm just not clear on what it is.

Ok. I'm waiting for the award. Where is it?

I think you'll be amply rewarded once he gets home...after you pry him away from the game. Then you will be able to coerce many further rewards as compensation for him ignoring you for the first 16 hrs he's back. Plus, you will tell this story to all of his friends, and they will be jealous, and he will be even more grateful when he realizes no one else's wife would do this.

It's the award that keeps on rewarding. Isn't that better than a plaque?

All you need to do at that point is 'accidentally' delete everything. You want the award for Wife of the Year, not WoW Widow......

Being a new WoW wife, I'm SLOWLY understanding :) I sat and watched as my husband gleefully put the expansion pack on the computer. It was like a little boy on Christmas!

Oh yes, you will discover the joys. You listen to conversations about alliance vs. horde, different gate openings, guild drama, and watch him block out the world with a headset while he laughs and talks with his 'guildmembers' for hours at a time. You will hear stories about what items the big boss dropped and whether he was the one who got them.

Oh yeah, and you'll watch hours of WOW videos where people have used their characters to dance to music.

Hey, he still buys me diamonds after 16 years together. Maybe this contributes to why :)
