Last night I actually got out and had dinner with four friends for Ang's birthday. It was nice to get out for a couple of hours, even though it wore me out. I also lost the pink ribbon pin off of my purse, which made me a bit sad. On the way home, I stopped by WalMart to see if they had anymore of the lightweight zip-up gowns on sale (they did, so I got an additional color) and I saw that they have now put all of the pink ribbon nightshirts on sale for $10. I'm assuming this is because it is no longer October and 'Breast Cancer Awareness Month'. I hope they are still donating the same amount to the Komen Foundation.
This morning, I got up to take the kids to school, and got dressed (yes, I've been taking the kids to school in pajamas lately) since I had a doctor's appointment at 10:30. Right before I left for the appointment, the school nurse called and said she had Michael in her office. He had a rash on his neck, shoulders and back, and would I please come pick him up in case it was contagious? Shit. Anyway, I ran to get him, dropped him off with instructions to take off his sweater and have Daddy give him some Benadryl. I think he is just allergic to something in that sweater. I'll have to remember to see what it is made out of (maybe wool?) so I can watch out for reactions in the future.
Several days back when I sneezed without bracing my stomach and thought I had blown something out? Pulled muscle. Should be better in a couple of days. I also have some areas of my incision that aren't healing right, and were bleeding as recently as two nights ago, but they are NOT infected right now. I've been told to now start putting antibiotic cream on there twice a day until it heals up fully.
On my way home, as usual when I'm feeling up to it, I stopped in Tall, Etc. They had some cute long sleeve shirts, one navy with an orange stripe on each sleeve (War Eagle!) and one red with orange stripes on each sleeve, and I could wear a MEDIUM! See, if clothes are made to fit a tall person, I don't feel like such a fat pig *laugh* It kills me when I have to buy an XL someone to have it long enough or make it fit over my breasts without stretching. I can't wait to see how clothes fit me with my new, smaller breasts and flatter stomach. WooHoo!
Picked up medicines, and food for the family, and just got home a little while ago. Michael remembered that a few days ago I promised him we would go out and plant the iris bulbs I ordered from his school. I even bought a bulb planter that has been sitting on the table for days. I've not felt up to it, so I've put him off. Today, he reminded me again, so we went out front and planted the iris bulbs around the tree. Hopefully, they will come into bloom next year. I love irises.
Here's the funny part, for those of you who play World of Warcraft. Scott has taught Michael and Matthew how to farm for him. *laugh* Michael told me when we came back inside that he needed to go back upstairs and play Daddy's game for him while he did some work. NOW I know what they did while I was out. :)
Anyway, I pick up Matthew in a couple of hours, so I think I'm going to rest until then.
