You've all heard so much about the journey the boys and I are on in Tae Kwon Do. As a portion of our development as martial artists is giving back to the community, our dojo has an annual Kick-A-Thon. I have started trying to teach Michael and Matthew about giving back to those who are in a situation where they need assistance. The Kick-A-Thon is a way for the kids in our club to support a local charity: Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County
Michael, Matthew and I are students at Vision Martial Arts Center in Plano, TX. On Saturday, August 18th the kids will be performing 1000 kicks, by kids, for kids. We need your help, with your tax deductible pledge, either per kick or flat-rate. Not only will you be helping the abused and neglected children of Collin County, but you will also be helping the kids to accomplish their goal of giving back to the community and helping those less fortunate.
The link above will give you information about the charity we are supporting, and here is also info about our school:
Owner: Diane Reeve, 5th Degree Black Belt (student of K. Yates)Vision Martial Arts
If you are able to support the boys in their kicks financially, thank you. If not, I ask that you keep them in your thoughts as they go out for their first community service project and learn ways to better our world. BTW - The boys will also be going for their green belt in two weeks, so this is a well-timed project for them.
(Ignore the BeaDistinct Jewelry header. That's what my PayPal account is set up under. I couldn't figure out how to get it to set up a 'personal' account that had the same user information, so I just left it as is.)
