TKD test

The boys and I passed and got our orange stripe. Next month is orange belt.

Comments from the black belts:

Matthew - Good job on sparring! Get your kicks higher.

Michael - Good punching, good forms. Work on turns and power.

Trish - Nice roundhouse kicks! Good punches. Try to throw multiple strikes, bigger blocks and more power in self-defense. Good 9-step block.

As you can tell, they are harder on the adults than the kids :)

Anyway - for those who don't believe I am actually doing this, I expect you to come take on the muscle I pulled around the Achilles tendon in my right foot, and leave you with these:

My kiyaps ROCK, but Matthew is the master. He tries to put a kiyap with EVERYTHING. It makes us all laugh.

I feel like we rock - we are doing something together as a family (well, the boys and I), it's active, good for you, and gives you the tools to take up for yourself. It makes me feel strong!

(Well, except for my achilles tendon this morning. I'm ok as long as I don't try to bend my foot at more than a 90 degree angle. Do you know that helps when you walk normally? :) I'm hoping I can take it easy and get it fixed before our next class on Tuesday)

Since we get our third belt next month, I guess I need to buy the boys and I one of those belt display things. Ebay, here I come.
