Damn these germ incubators kids of mine.

Yesterday, after school, Michael was complaining about his stomach hurting. I thought he was just trying to get out of doing something he didn't want to. Then he started having...stomach issues, and going to the bathroom quite often. Last night around 9, I'm sitting here and Matthew fusses a bit, comes out into the hall and says 'I think I'm gonna barf'. I start herding him down the hall to the bathroom, but no such luck. He had 102 degree fever, and kept throwing up all night. Around 2:30, I finally got some Phenergen to stay down him and he slept pretty good for several hours.

It was toast all around this morning, and no summer camp. I had my cereal and settled down to work while they laid on the couch. Shortly thereafter, you guessed it, my stomach starts turning. I don't have a fever, thankfully, but my head hurts.

Why do we get stomach bugs in this house and ALL of us get it but Scott? I want to know WHY!

Guess there is no Tae Kwon Do tonight.

Please let this be a 24 hour bug.

Get better soon!

Phenergan is available in suppository form, although it's obviously not very pleasant. If your prescribing doc's willing to prescribe it, compounding pharmacies can also put Phenergan into a balm you apply to your wrist that works pretty well too.

Hmm, I'll have to remember the wrist thing and try that. We keep Phenergen suppositories, pills and liquid around here.

oh man...
I am so not looking forward to my kids bringing home all sorts of illnesses when school starts in a few weeks....
Hugs to you and hope you feel better soon.

Ugh. I've had stomach issues lately too and know how yucky it can be. The best sympathy I can offer is at least it's not coming out both ends. Toast is good - my sis recently told me about the BRAT diet for upset stomachs: Bananas, Rice, Apple sauce, and Toast. Not exciting, and difficult to put together any sort of normal meal....maybe if peanut butter is allowed, you could make PB and banana sandwiches on toast....

Take care, all of you! Hopefully it will be over quickly!!
