Blast from the past

Don't you love it when old friends contact you out of the blue????

A good friend of mine from high school, who I probably haven't seen or talked to since about 1990 or so, emailed me today! He's now in SC, divorced, and raising a 13-year-old girl and 7-year-old boy on his own. Still looks like the same old Duggo - just older and wiser, like the rest of us.

I love hearing from people unexpectedly like that, because it sends you this rush of memories. I always had fun around Doug.

Say 'Cheese', Duggo! So glad to be back in touch with you!!!

Michael came home from school saying his tummy hurt. Next thing I know, he's spewing non-stop from both ends. ARGH!!!! I've already done two loads of laundry. I'm tired of cleaning him up! I finally got him to keep down some Phenergen and Children's Immodium, and all he's had since coming home is Pedialyte. I suppose he'll be staying home with me tomorrow.

----

On a no-way-related note, I finally got all of my paperwork done for pet sitting and I think I will have my first dog the 30th through the 5th. They might have a small Malti-Poo they don't have a sitter for. I think it will be so much fun to get to experience all of these other dogs. I love animals so much, and this lets me have new ones around without having to actually 'own' them or pay anything to keep them up. *laugh*

Goodness knows I spend enough on my animals as it is. Pepper just got a new bed today, I got a clicker to start doing some additional training, the reptiles got crickets, mealworms, waxworms, etc., and I put together a cricket farm. On Wednesday, Barqs has to get her shots to be up-to-date.

It's going to be a busy week. I'm still trying to figure out whether Matthew and I are going to Tae Kwon Do tomorrow night without Michael, or if we can push it to Wednesday night. We'll see.
