We have miles to go *laugh*
I finally got my neurotomy scheduled for my back. Believe it or not, I tried to schedule it around TKD. Class is on Tuesdays, so my neurotomy on the right side of my spine is next Thursday. I should be ok by Tuesday to go to class and do as much as I can. Then again two days later, on Thursday, they will do the left side of my spine. Class again on Tuesday. I figure those two classes are ones I'll have to take it easy in, but at least I won't miss any instruction.
Today is supposed to be a big layoff day at work. My whole group has one-on-ones with our boss. My hope is that since it is on the phone for me, and only 15 minutes, we are being told we still have jobs. For now. *crosses fingers*
OH! If the boys get their yellow belts tonight, I promised them ice cream as a treat. If I get mine, I'm going to treat myself to a massage tomorrow. I also need to go get a mani-pedi. Time to pay all of my bills and find out how much disposable income I have for the next two weeks.
Funny for the morning - The US is playing Ghana right now in the World Cup competition. A local radio station found a pub that was playing the game this morning, which had about 40 or 50 people watching the US play. They sent in a large black man, dressed as a Ghana fan, to loudly get into the game (ONLY Ghana fan in the place), and play the race card whenever calls were made against Ghana. Listening to it was actually pretty damn funny. You could hear the stunned silence from the US fans at times. That very uncomfortable silence as they try to figure out if he is for real or just teasing, but since it is a race thing, nobody is willing to ask. :)
OH! Second funny! Scott told the kids about something he did as a kid, which got him in trouble. He found a green anole outside and spray painted it silver. Then he called his mom to see the amazing silver lizard he had found. She was AMAZED. Until she figured it out. :)
This morning, Matthew had on his gecko shirt, which has some brightly colored day geckos on it. He wanted to know why our geckos weren't as colorful (we have crested and leopards which are more earthy tones). I told him we were not getting more geckos. Michael pipes up with an idea to paint our existing lizards rainbow colors. Ummm...NO! (followed by the very faint but well heard 'I would blister your bottom if you painted my lizards. That could kill them') Michael's response? Well, DADDY DID IT!
Great. Just great *laugh*
