Confessions of a shopaholic

Hello. My name is Trish and I'm a Southern Living at Home addict.

I didn't realize until I started setting up for the party last night just HOW MUCH of this stuff I actually own. Yet, I still have so much MORE that I want! It's why I had the party. I'm getting most of my wish list. I can get four half price items (getting the entertaining stand along with the entertaining bucket, and the Bountiful plate and bowl - althogh I considered just the plate and the candelier). I'm also getting all of the guest specials (double plate rack, candle/vase collection and the wine stopper with stand) and for my hostess special the silverware caddy.

SOMEONE STOP ME! What am I going to do with all of this? Ok, the wine stopper will get good usage, as will the big entertaining bucket (gotta keep the wine and beers cold somehow) *laugh* The rest of the stuff I just love, but I don't know what I'm going to do with it!

It was great to see suewin again, and I look forward to it yet again once her products come in. The party was small, but I like them that way. You can talk and enjoy yourself more.

Tonight, the boys and I are taking off again to spend the night over at Ang's. We're going to test out some of the Southern Living stuff on their walls and figure out her order. That should take five minutes. The rest is volleyball, swimming, drinking, eating, laughing, talking, making fools of ourselves, and letting the kids run wild.

Time to relax and destress.

It's great. You basically just have a party. All you have to do is invite people and supply drinks and snacks. The consultant comes in and brings all kinds of stuff, does drawings and prizes, sets them up all over the place, sells people on the stuff, and takes their orders.

Once the orders are tallied, you get free product based on how much was sold. Like if there was $250-500 sold, you get 10% of the total free. 500-750 is 15% of the total free. You also get a number of half off products based on the total sold and if anyone books a party of their own from yours.

Their products are AWESOME (I already have about 10 throughout the house), and because of this SMALL party (like 7 people!) I'll get about $50 of free product, all of the discounted monthly specials (which turn out to be 50% or more off the regular price), plus 4 half price items. I added it up last night, and it's about $500 worth of stuff for $120. WELL worth cleaning my house and cooking some appetizers.
