I was raised Southern Baptist but it never 'fit' me. The indicator quiz was surprising to me because of an experience that just may have shaped it. My junior year in high school, I left Huntsville, AL (where I had never been more than a single state away from) and moved temporarily to Germantown, PA to live the 'Quaker Experience' through a network exchange program. Basically, I wanted to go to a 'big city' and Philly seemed like a cool, far away place to go. I lived with a somewhat liberal Quaker family and went to a private Quaker school, Germantown Friends School. I enjoyed the liberties and trust afforded the students and was impressed with the meetings that were held weekly. There was no leader/preacher/whatever. People stood up to share stories, thoughts or things that happened to them during the week, as they were moved to. This may be as simple as a cat giving birth, seeing a homeless person and the thoughts it brought to mind, or that your brother and his wife just gave birth to a baby girl. I loved the simplicity of it.
I left Philly and didn't look back, except to make jokes about my 'Quaker Experience'.
Taking the religious belief quiz, I was surprised with the results. Here is what I matched:
