Holiday cheer

Big turkey with stuffing. Homemade cranberry sauce. Rum sweet potatoes (my specialty). Green Bean casserole. Rolls.

Cleaned the house. Cleaned the lizard habitat. Did the dishes. Put up some of the toys.

Mom will be here. jillions and Brian are stopping by. genebob is invited if he can make it up this way.

I'm ready - so why do I so NOT feel like Thanksgiving?

are you going to take photos like amateur gourmet's blog? <giggle>

odds of me being there tomorrow are slim2none; an afternoon of nibbling on turkey while watching [In Cold Blood] are in store for me, apparently. now doesn't that sound festive?

Aw, come on up. Brian & I will be there later, like probably 5 or 5:30. I figure that will give me enough time from the first feast to feel like eating a bit more at Trish's. Or at least having a yummy margarita. What could be more festive than a margarita on Thanksgiving? :-)

since Trish & Crew will be up until midnight Thanksgiving Day, maybe I'll take you up on that, depending on what time I get home. If it's after midnight, just leave a plate of turkey & trimmings on the front stoop, and I won't ring the bell!

So very.

I might take photos. If I remember. I think I'll skip the 7:00 am 'pull the innards out of the bird, stuff the damn thing, throw it in the oven, crawl back into bed' shot.

Of course, when the kids see me up at 7 am, the chances of them letting me go back to bed are somewhere between slim and none as well.
