Matthew fit

I think Matthew is trying to run away. He hasn't spoken a word since getting in the car at school, so for almost an hour now he has been totally silent. He's glaring at me. He went and picked up his scooter, put it in the carrying case, slung it over his shoulder and tried to walk out the front door.

Of course, we have a latch about 5 1/2 feet up the door, so he can't open it. Now he's just standing at the front door glaring at me.

Not quite sure what happened at school, but he has totally withdrawn into himself. Now he is looking for somewhere to plug in the box fan. Who knows where this is going.

I know talking to him will do no good, so I just need to let him work it out and then talk to him when he starts speaking again.

EDIT: He has just pulled a dining room chair over to the front door to get to the upper latch. Guess I need to get my shoes on and prepare for the chase.

Wow, I have the opposite problem. I can tell by the look on Beth's face when she's walking to the car if she's had a D-R-A-M-A day, lol! And, I get to hear ALL about it immediately, believe me. Some of the angst is understandable...but some of it is typical girl-drama where I have to coach her about being NICE and not letting snarky people get under her skin.

Hope he feels better soon!

At first I mis-read this and thought it was about Michael. I was shocked. Matthew, not so much. But at least he loves his scooter! Thank goodness it came with a carrying case. ;)

Send him here! I'll even send the box and pay for the shipping. Oh, did I tell you that the LG has TWICE AGAIN crawled into a box with a set of pajamas and begged me to send him to you?

Perhaps we should just switch kids for a few months?

Oh man. Kids. A mommy's work is never done. Yeah I get to chase Sebastian down the street at least two or three times a week - bu that's because he's being an obnoxious little pain in my ass, not because he's pissed off and running away. heh. Ahhhh it never ends.

*hug*
