CRAPtastic!!!!

It could only get BETTER!

I wanted to put the last christmas decoration in the front yard - a large arch
that we put over the walkway in front of our door. I set up the base where we
had it last year and got out the tent stakes to anchor it, just like last year.

I grabbed a hammer and started to sink the very first stake.

(Do you see this one coming?)

*GUSH* We now have our own private water fountain in the front yard!

*headdesk*

I hit the water line to the sprinkler system. Could have been worse. Could
have been the water main. Or the sewer line. Scott and I were able to locate
the water valve at the street and turn it off.

We're ok now. Until the next time I have to run the sprinklers and will
have to pay to have it fixed then. For now...heck. It's winter. Don't need
to water the yard.

Now more than ever I am convinced that we were separated at birth.

Yeah. Me too. The first thing I thought when I saw your post about what you have in common with your good friends was that you were going to say 'We all have spectacularly stupid things we've done, but can still laugh about it' :)

Of course, if you lived here, you could go until, hrm, probably 2012 without having a legal need to fix that line. :\

(And at least yours doesn't leak all the time. When I lived in Waco, the sprinkler system was probably at least 20 years old. It leaked...and in one of the lines right on the side of the driveway, too. Thankfully, it never caved the driveway in.)

Having lived in Waco, you'll understand how vital sprinkler systems are to this area. We live in Plano now. Amazingly, this last summer we only had to water once because we had an incredibly wet summer. Never seen here!

Are you sharing my black rain cloud?
Friday I se Chiropractor. Saturday morning I fall.
Monday evening Doug sees Chiropractor. Tuesday afternoon Doug falls.
Everyone else in the family now refuses to see a Chiropractor. LOL

Will it be an easy fix? I sure hope things start to look up for your family sweetie, you do no deserve this.
