Who exactly ordered the flood?

- Our air conditioner went out last night, but thankfully we were able to get it back on this morning.

- When I went upstairs to wake up the kids, I heard a HORRIBLE sound: water dripping in the attic. When I pulled down the stairs, water came running out on me. The seal on one of our vents has gone bad (it appears) and I woke Scott up to put buckets and towels up where he could. We'll have to call our insurance guy in a couple of hours when they open.

- Driving the kids to school (and having not gotten their raincoats out or able to find umbrellas) was an adventure. There are places where the streets are flooded enough to come ABOVE your tires. Joy.

The funny part? No, guess it isn't really funny. The major part of the front hasn't even gotten to us. If it's this bad already, I can't imagine what it will be like in a little while when that big LINE makes its way over us.

Know anyone with a good used ark for sale?

You guys are drowning and we're having a 100 year drought. Things are very bad here. The city of Atlanta will be OUT OF WATER by the end of the year. We are literally down to counting the days we will have drinking water.

I'm thankful this cold front didn't stall on its way in -- the last one that did that gave me a wicked headache.

Oh no dripping water! Hope that's fixed quickly and painlessly.

It was raining buckets when we took Laurel to catch the bus from our neighborhood school. (It arrives around 7:15, so we usually get there at 7:10 and read while sitting in the car.) I cringed when I realized people were dropping off kids in the pouring rain and no outside lights on to wait until the school doors open at 7:30! Laurel took a raincoat but not an umbrella and the girl she rides the bus with walked over to our car with her umbrella and asked if Laurel wanted to walk over to the spot they get on the bus together. I almost died of cuteness.
