TMI post

If you have ever gone 8 days without a bowel movement - to the point where you've had to stop eating because you just DO NOT have room anymore - then you know the pain and discomfort it causes. For days now, we've been pulling out all stops to try to get that post-surgery BM that seems so key. 8 days later - VICTORY!!!!

I don't think I've ever been so relieved and overjoyed by a simple BM in my LIFE. *laugh*

Hopefully, things will start flowing normally now and some of the bloating from the surgery will go away.

It only took every method known to medical science to get it to happen, but today's recommendation was the key.

YAY! *bounce* I pooped! :)

Re: YAY For Poop!!!
I think it might have. I saw all of that food, knew I wasn't able to eat, and was ready to take drastic measures. My body realized my thoughts and decided it better get IN GEAR if it wanted some of this yummy food.

I guess I should re-think the goodie packages I'm sending. Perhaps large quantities of applesauce instead? That always works for the Little Guy.

LOL I remember that! I prefer to think of it as an opportunity to fully identify with my potty-training child, and to re-experience that once-in-a-lifetime joy of achievement!

You just don't know! One of my sons has an...elimination issue since birth. He is on a daily laxitive, and still occasionally gets backed up. I've seen him writhing in pain after 5 days of not going, and Mommy gets to do the good old enema to get him moving. Now, I can TOTALLY relate and have so much more empathy for what he feels.

It did feel a bit like potty training. I wanted to run through the house yelling "YAY!!!!! I made poopy in the potty!!!!!"k

Yeah, I knew it would be up there, and even debated posting about it. However, you get the good with the bad while following me through the next few months. I'm sure it won't be the last TMI post. Hopefully the last that has to do with poop though :)

while you're so giddy, sitting on The Throne, why not occupy your time better: Sudoku Toilet Roll

Poop-poop here
and a poop-poop there
here a poop
there a poop
everywhere a poop-poop
