It never fails

Although I am looking forward to having my knee fixed, I'm starting to have those pre-surgery jitters. Nervous about the pain, anxious about the waiting, wondering whether I'll sleep.

Of course, what does it matter whether I sleep when all I'll do tomorrow is either sit there or sleep?

You'll do fine tomorrow. Surgery is a no-brainer. At least for the person being surgerized upon. Hopefully your doctor will bring his brain. :)

And think of how much better your knee will feel once it's all over!!

My advice: Play this up for all you can. Get the boys to wait on you hand & foot. Have your dedicated hubby bring you all sorts of special things. Remember all those movies you've been wanting to watch but haven't had the time? Now's the time! Got a craving for some exotic flavor of ice cream? Demand it (in a pathetic, wimpering sort of way).

In all seriousness, I wish you the best of luck tomorrow. You'll be in my thoughts. And since I don't think I'm going to need all of mine tomorow, I'm sending you a few extra spoons.

P.S. Don't forget to get that extended handicapped parking permit. :)

Hmm. I'll have to ask him if I can get a parking permit. That would be SWEET!

Thanks for the spoons. I'll need them, I'm sure!

Maybe your mind wants to get its worrying done before you go in?

You can have some of my spoons tomorrow (later today as I write this) too.

Thanks for the spoons. Mine will probably be in short supply tomorrow. :) Err, today.
